Alphard Conversion Model Project ~ The Different...

This thread is about to convert Alphard AX-L edition 2004 model to AS 2005 model.
 

Alphard 2002 ~ 2004 models are known as Pre Face Lift (PFL).
Alphard 2004 ~ 2007 models are known as New Face Lift (NFL).


These models share the basic design and chasis. NFL model, it is more on marketing strategies to refresh/renew the demand for Alphard.Worth it with significant improvement on appearances, technologies and performance for later models.

Appearances (Exterior)
1. New design front bumper
2. Design of front grille
3. New fog lamp
4. Headlight design
5. Taillight design & tail garnish
6. Additional left fender mirror
7. New Rims for AS / MS model only

Appearances (Interior)
1. Slightly different middle console
    - vertical aircond panel
    - 'Room' light button is in front panel
    - aircond control buttons are in different position
2. New color of mid console for AX NFL (yellow wood panel)
3. New design of odometer

New features on NFL

1. Projector headlight equipped with AFS (Adaptive Front Lighting System)
2. To overcome bodyroll problem on PFL, installation of anti-roll bush damper for rear axle
3. Gearbox upgraded to 4th gear (D-1-2-3-4) for 3.0cc varians.
4. Drive br electronic controlled (PFL - drive by wire)
    - possible to add-on only the cruise controll ability for the models which is not equipped.

  1. Bro, if I'm not mistaken, only NFL use drive by wire, PFL is still on mechanical drive, drive by "cable" perhaps... :-)
