This is AP letter which we were waiting to bring out my Alphard from port yard.
Once collect this letter & JK69 form, we are able to proceed to KASTAM Malaysia for tax valuation. Complete the K1 Kastam form with these letter (JK69 & AP letter), KASTAM will evaluate tax.
For those applicant with Japanese license, the car will be registered to the applicant only for 2 years. For those who not holding a Japanese license, the car will be registered to the applicant only for 4 years IF the AP is granted after 'rayuan' to Pengarah MITI.
Tax is evaluated at about RM3X,XXX.XX which is same as expected. I calculated the expected tax and the value is same. This is how the calculated is done:

refer to this document..
Money are paid by Banker's Cheque on the name of 'Pengarah Kastam Negeri'.
Let's say the tax is evaluated exactly RM27,987.31. The bank cannot issue a banker's cheque with exact amount. As normal practice as we all knew, the value will be rounded to RM27,987.35 But, the KASTAM will not accept that value above than declared value even we pay more 4 cents (as sedekah..hehehe). KASTAM will only accept the exact value or less than tax declared. The balance will be paid by cash. In this case, should instruct bank to issue a banker's cheque valued at RM27,987.30 and the balance 1 cent, will be paid by cash. That's is their practice. Don't wasting time re-doing the banker's cheque.
salam..
