Drive My Alphard 1st time in Malaysia!!

I drive my Alphard for first time in Malaysia.

Kereta dah lulus Puspakom. Agen bagitau dah boleh register kereta kat JPJ. Semua dokumen dah lengkap cuma e-daftar document tiada, so agen akan emailkan pagi pagi lagi. Ingatkan malam tu, just nak collect document untuk buat registration kat JPJ Sri Gading, Batu Pahat.

Tak sangka pula, agen dah buatkan permit sementara untuk drive sampai ke Batu Pahat. So, dah tengok kereta tu rasa syok pula, rasa tak percaya, jejakkan tayar juga Alphard aku di bumi Malaysia ni..muahahahah.. Tak kisah la, wife pun kata sanggup je drive kete satu lagi dan aku drive Alphard balik ke Batu Pahat dari Shah Alam.

Cuma yang tak bestnye, cermin hitam sebelah kiri yang belakang sekali tu, diorg pasang tak cukup kedap, sepanjang perjalanan memang terasa angin luar yang masuk...aduhai.... nak kena repair la jawabnye nie....

Keadaan dalam kereta amat menyedihkan....

Dalam kereta aku ni, aku simpan bateri, hand tool (wrench spanar), pam angin kaki, wire jumper, PSP wire AUX output, USB 1GB, semuanye missing..walawei bateri je diorg tak ambil.. Aku suspek org kat port atau org kat bengkel tukar cermin hitam yang sambar nie.. Tak pun diorg nak cari Wheel Lock Nut untuk buka rim sport aku ni. Nasib baik aku pasang, kalau tak mahu menangis aku....Nasihat aku, pastikan memang tiada barang-barang langsung dalam kereta. Biarlah kereta semata mata. Dah la kereta memang kotor gila. Aku rasa kereta ni  parking open space nie. Yang tu je la aku tak puas hati, tapi memang dah dijangkakan.

Replace Alphard Odometer (mileage maintain the same)

Replace Alphard AX Odometer to AS type for PFL model only.

May be can be applicable to NFL too but i dun have any NFL odometer as "tikus putih" for experiment..hehe

1. Dis-assemble odometer from dashboard.

AX Odometer - mileage 47012km (my actual mileage)

 AS Odometer, functional check, mileage - 149,503km (erk!!!, so 'kuat jalan')

I don't want to replace just like that because the mileage is not correct anymore and can make me confuse for a maintenance schedule & also make my car look alike 'kuat jalan'.

2. Take out the transparent cover, very easy one since there is no screw/nut at all. Free hand tool.

This is AS odometer, the process is same.

3. Dis-assemble the back cover, there are 4 screw.

4. The most difficult is to dismantle the needles from electronic board. The needles are mounted so tight. Used something to pull the needles from bottom. I use the universal bracket, place it under the needles, and pull it up gently but hard until able manually pull it by hand.  

CAUTION!!

Make sure to cover the front odometer board avoiding it from being scratch or crack!!

5. Dis-assemble front panel board. Free hand tool. Just un-clip. 

6. Dis-assemble the electronic board. Just un-clip. Pull it up gently. Make sure the LCD pins are not broken.

Immobiliser Alarm/Security Car System

Boleh start searching for alarm system. Cadangnya lepas kereta keluar dari port dah legally on the road, terus nak install alarm system. Worry juga since Alphard ni antara kereta 'panas' juga walaupun kereta dah lama.Nak tak nak kena invest juga dalam car security.
